It’s Tuesday night at last and we are thrilled to be getting our third cup of the summer. I can only imagine what our cups will say tonight….

I rode my bike to pick up my car at The Windrift this morning. It took about 45 minutes for me to figure out how to fit my bike into my car. I drove home covered in black bike goo. I realized I couldn’t run my fingers through my hair- somehow there was a huge hunk of gum stuck in it that I had been tossing and turning on all night. I checked my phone to see the damage; turns out the last text I sent last night was to Trevor – the winner of A Double Shot of Love. At least our Wing Night cup collection is growing, the newest addition reads “unbelievable” written in sharpy marker. -Kelli
My Matthew Broderick swollen eye cream medicine. Took the words right out of my mouth medicine….touche. -Kelli
This new economic trend to change $1 expenses to $1.50 really has me peeved. Double you tee eff. On a recent trip to Sea Isle with no cash in purse – I somehow mustered up $1 in change to hand to the toll booth attendant. He regretably informed me that the price to travel from Sea Isle to Avalon changed to $1.50 per car in February, 2009. Luckily the passenger seat provided me with this $.50 cent invasion of my pocket…. but I’m not pleased Sea Isle, I’m not pleased at all! -Kelli

After a superb night at The Princeton; Juliet and I decided to take our nightly swim. We jumped in the pool with Coors Light bottles in hand and recapped the weekend and the bachelor party antics we were a part of. After a beautiful rendition of “I Want It That Way” we took a look at the water. It was fate, we met a turtle! We drunkenly played with the turtle until we realized he had had enough of us and against our own intuitions we released him into the wild. As the excitement faded, Juliet found something new to play with -a disgusting alien of a slug who must have been born in the pool because the instant he was out of the pool went into shock and died. The slug will remain in his death spot, right outside of the pool to remind Juliet and I of how good life is ( until the sun shrivels him up of course). As I see it… the slug has it way worse than me. Oh yeah, the slug reminds me of the movie The Faculty – anyone know what I’m talking about? -Kelli
Good Morning New Jersey! Spent the morning at The Avalon Medical Center… I’m a frequent visitor. Sorry to say that I look like Matthew Broderick in Election when he got stung by a bee on his eyelid. Allergic reaction…. ? To what? The Jersey Shore? -Kelli

We used Bananagrams as a drinking game to pregame the bar last night, pretty successful. My winning board looked like this… -Kelli

It’s hazy weather, somewhat reminiscent of the grey skies of Syracuse, here in Avalon. Considering this prevents pool-side as being the ideal locale for our day, Kelli and I have been redirected to our computers and entertainment via movies for the day.
Avalon proves to be a friendly place. Being from Massachusetts, I must mention that this is my first encounter with the likes of New Jersey, and thus far it is completely agreeable, much more so than possibly imagined. I can foresee this summer being nothing short of fantastic. In line with this premonition, tonight promises to be our first night out big on the town. Hello Friday. Surely, something to look forward to.
-Juliet
Fact: A guy made us dinner tonight… Avalon is shaping up suitably. Who knows what tomorrow has in store! -Juliet and Kelli
